An accomplished mountaineer, Tim has been with Nomad Ventures for over nine years. In 1987, Tim became the first (and to date, the only) American to summit Annapurna IV in the Himalayas. He also has extensive experience mountaineering in the United States, including numerous ascents on Washington's Mount Rainier and many peaks in the Sierras. In addition to his work at the store, Tim volunteers with the Forest Service as a fire lookout and wilderness ranger.
Splitting his time evenly between the couch and the mountains, Greg has been hiking as long as he could walk. As happy struggling up dirty cracks on obscure peaks in the Sierras as playing on short slabs in his backyard, he rarely turns down an opportunity for new adventures.
Eric has experience in a wide range of outdoor activities. As a climber of 19 years, he has explored the climbing areas of the Northwest, Southwest, and Northeast, including lots of time at Oregon's Smith Rock and Idaho's Sawtooths. Other notable adventures include winter backpacking in the Adirondacks High Peaks and an epic visit deep into southwest China.
Kat has been climbing, hiking, and back packing since she was twelve years old. She is most happy when she has a back pack on her back or a harness around her waist. You can find her scrambling in Joshua Tree, in awe in Yosemite, teaching 6th graders about the wonders of nature at Camp Cuyamaca, or just wandering in Anza Borrego desert.
